Its Dog Beach

Its Beach usually has many dogs. Off-leash hours begin at 4:00 pm. There is a long case of stairs to get to the beach and there is some free parking nearby. Lighthouse field is also dog-friendly and is located directly across the street.

From San Jose: Take hwy 17 into Santa Cruz. Stay strait on Hwy1 and veer right on to Mission Street. Take left on Bay Avenue (1/2 - 1mi), then follow to end. At end, take right on Westcliff Dr. Lighthouse is about 1/2 mi. on left.

From Monterey: Take Hwy 1 North until you reach Santa Cruz. Go around the fishhook, then stay to your right. Remain Strait on Hwy1 and veer right on to Mission Street. Take left on Bay Avenue (1/2 - 1mi), then follow to end. At end, take right on Westcliff Dr. Lighthouse is about 1/2 mi. on left.
