"Capitola
is a pedestrian friendly town. It is to everybody's advantage to accomodate
the people who walk as well as the people who drive"
Dennis Norton, City Council Member, July 26, 2001
"We
need to support the broadest possible use of our public resources, including
Capitola's parks."

Capitola Council Accepts Animal Control Report
==============================================
Good news! The dog report passed the council meeting with no discussion
or comment. This is good news as it means we are accomplishing our goal
of being perceived as good citizens. We hope to leverage these good
perceptions to have dogs more readily accepted in public.
Chief Ehle also let us know that they had had very few complaint calls
this last 6 months. One of the few complaints was last week: Janice
Aulf who called to complain about the SPCA fundraiser in the Capitola
Mall where you can bring your dog to have it's photo taken with Santa.
Chief Ehle informed her that there is no law against having dogs in
the mall which is private property.
